ACADEMIC LIFE IN THE SIXTH FORM

In Year 12, students typically choose four subjects, which may include A Level courses, BTEC programs, or a blend of both. Each subject receives five hours of dedicated instruction per week from specialized teachers in well-equipped facilities. Students are encouraged to dedicate significant time to independent study, revising notes, reinforcing class material, and completing home learning assignments.

SIXTH FORM ENRICHMENT

Students in the Sixth Form can enrich their academic journey through various avenues, enhancing university applications. They can develop leadership by leading ECAs, mentoring peers, or engaging in House activities. Student-led ECAs like 'The Bromsgrovian' newspaper, Debate Club, Service Team, and Operation Smile Club offer opportunities. House events, including weekly House Sports, House Debate, and the Bromsgrove Lip Sync Battle, are highlights. Sports enthusiasts can participate in various activities from House Sports to inter-school tournaments in Bangkok for Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Golf, representing the school in TISAC and FOBISIA events.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP

The Sixth Form Council leads, representing student voices and driving positive change. Weekly meetings fuel initiatives like mentorship programs, student newspapers, and charity drives since August 2019. Sixth Formers embody leadership, setting examples in appearance and conduct. They undertake responsibilities, mirroring expected behaviors. House Captain roles offer further leadership opportunities, aiding in house events' organization, fostering skills, and inspiring peers.
