Deputy Head of Primary

Campus

WP Campus

Department

Primary

Application Closing Date

13/02/2026

The Primary School is part of our Windsor Park campus and is a two-form entry school for children from Year 2 to Year 6, with approximately 160 children currently on roll. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Primary to lead and manage the Primary School, deputising for him when he is unavailable and developing the ethos and learning opportunities for the staff and children. The position comes with responsibility for a class with release time of approximately half of the working week. Two year contract, renewable by mutual consent.

The successful candidate will need to be:

  • A qualified teacher (BEd or PGCE/GTP equivalent) who is an outstanding practitioner, with at least five years of experience teaching in a UK or British international school setting.
  • Confident in delivering the English Primary curriculum with creativity, rigour, and adaptability.
  • Skilled at using technology to enhance teaching and learning, not replace it.
  • Able to motivate children through relationships built on trust, respect, and warmth.
  • A reflective practitioner who’s comfortable experimenting, learning, and adapting — someone who doesn’t jump at every new trend, but knows how to integrate meaningful innovations over time.
  • A true team player who brings positivity, flexibility, and balance to school life.

Above all, we want teachers who put people at the centre of all they do and who understand that learning is about the journey, not just the results
