Six of our KS4 students recently attended THAIMUN XIII hosted at Brighton College, joining over 700 delegates from eight different countries. Representing their assigned nations, they participated in a series of dynamic committee sessions, engaging in formal debates, delivering speeches, negotiating resolutions, and collaborating closely with peers from across the region.
The conference provided an excellent platform for students to immerse themselves in global issues, requiring them to think critically, respond confidently, and articulate their ideas with clarity and purpose. They demonstrated strong diplomacy and resilience throughout, adapting quickly to the fast-paced nature of Model United Nations discussions while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Through this experience, students further developed key skills in public speaking, research, negotiation, and global awareness. It was particularly encouraging to see their confidence grow over the course of the conference, as they embraced new challenges and contributed meaningfully to their committees. Overall, they represented the school with great maturity and commitment, making the experience both rewarding and memorable.
