May was very busy with TISAC swimming gala’s for both our primary and secondary students. The highlight of which was our under 15 swimming team who placed second overall in TISAC, with MJ of year 9 managing 7 medals. Our primary team were not to be outdone and whilst they won less medals, the improvement in their swimming times was astonishing. Harumi of year 4 managed to take 25 seconds off her personal best time over 50m.
The highlight of this term of course was our hosting of the Primary FOBISIA Games from 27-29th May. It was the biggest FOBISIA event ever held in Group C with 11 schools attending from all over Asia and over 270 students competing.
Bromsgrove took a squad of 27 students from Years 3-6, four staff coaches not to mention the 22 other staff that volunteered to help out over the weekend.
The Games were a huge success and as a school we had considerable success, from the wonderful team gold medal in the T-ball on the opening day, through to the 50 plus medals that our young athletes managed in the swimming and athletics events on the Sunday. Amongst the many stand-out performances were Sang Sang, Jerry, Amber and Aaliyah all of whom managed multiple medals.
เดือนพฤษภาคมเป็นเดือนที่มีกิจกรรมว่ายน้ำ TISAC สำหรับนักเรียนระดับประถมและมัธยมศึกษา จุดเด่นของงานอยู่ที่ทีมนักว่ายน้ำอายุไม่เกิน 15 ปี ประเภททั่วไปได้ที่ 2 โดยมี MJ นักเรียนชั้นปีที่ 9 กวาดเหรียญรางวัลไปได้ถึง 7 เหรียญ ส่วนทีมระดับประถมศึกษา แม้จะได้เหรียญน้อยกว่า แต่ก็ไม่ยอมน้อยหน้ารุ่นพี่ เพราะแต่ละคนต่างก็ฝึกฝนฝีมือจนมีผลงานน่าประทับใจ Harumi นักเรียนชั้นปีที่ 4 สามารถว่าย 50 เมตรด้วยการทำลายสถิติเดิมของตนเองลงถึง 25 วินาที ถือว่าเป็นสถิติที่ดีที่สุดที่เธอเคยทำมา
ส่วนกิจกรรมที่เด่นที่สุดของภาคเรียนนี้คงหนีไม่พ้นการที่โรงเรียนได้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานกีฬา FOBISIA ระดับประถมศึกษาในระหว่างวันที่ 27-29 พฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นกลุ่มที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในกลุ่ม C โดยมีโรงเรียนต่างๆจากภูมิภาคเอเชียเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันถึง 11 โรงเรียน และมีนักเรียนเข้าร่วมกว่า 270 คน บรอมส์โกรฟพาทีมนักกีฬา 27 คนในระดับชั้นปีที่ 3 – 6 และคณะครูผู้ฝึกสอน 4 คนเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน รวมถึงครูและเจ้าหน้าที่อีก 22 คนที่อาสาช่วยงานในช่วงวันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์
การแข่งขันเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นและถือว่าเป็นความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนในฐานะเจ้าภาพ ทีมนักกีฬาของเราคว้าเหรียญทองประเภททีมจากกีฬา T-ball ในวันแรกที่เปิดงาน รวมไปถึงอีกกว่า 50 เหรียญที่นักกีฬาตัวน้อยของเราคว้ามาได้จากการแข่งขันว่ายน้ำและกรีฑาในวันอาทิตย์ นักกีฬาที่มีผลงานยอดเยี่ยมได้แก่ Sang Sang, Jerry, Amber และ Aaliyah ซึ่งสามารถกวาดเหรียญรางวัลมาได้คนละหลายเหรียญ
