A welcome message
At Bromsgrove International School, we work tirelessly to create an environment where children will be happy, grow in self-confidence, thrive academically and make the most of the many opportunities we offer. We pride ourselves on the pursuit of excellence and on encouraging children to develop their talents, discover new interests and prepare for the world beyond Primary School.
The Primary School (ages 5-11 years) is the next phase of school following on from Early Years Foundation Stage. We have a thorough transition programme in place to help students move seamlessly from one phase to the next. We have a Reception transition programme for students moving into the Primary phase of school, a Year 1 transition programme to help parents and children familiarise themselves with the “big school” for the move to our Windsor Park campus, and a Year 6 transition programme to prepare our students for Secondary school. Every year group also participates in our Moving Up day to help them transition from one year group to the next.
The Primary School is located both on the main campus at Windsor Park, set in a peaceful, green location near the Windsor Park golf club with Year 1 Primary students based at our Early Years Campus on Ramkhamhaeng 164. Both campuses have outdoor play areas, a swimming pool, library and air-conditioned sports hall. In addition, the excellent facilities at Windsor Park include a covered basketball court, a large sports field, ICT suites, a performing arts centre with full theatre, an art studio and boarding house. Boarding students are welcome from the age of 9 years old.
At Windsor Park, our Primary classrooms are on the ground floor of the main building. They are bright, clean and air-conditioned. All of Primary School teachers are fully qualified and have valuable teaching experience in the UK and usually overseas as well. Each class has a full time Teaching Assistant (TA) to assist students in their learning and help them to reach their potential.
Students have a varied sports programme at Bromsgrove and we recognise the importance of instilling a healthy attitude, both physically and mentally, in our learners. Through lessons, teams, in our Extra-Curricular Activities and academies, examples of the sports on offer include but are not limited to football, basketball, swimming, athletics, dance, gymnastics, netball, rugby, cricket, yoga, golf and aerobics.
The Primary School understands the benefit of using technology to enhance the learning process and in Primary there are iPads and laptops for classes, two fully equipped IT suites, interactive whiteboards in every classroom and a range of in-class technologies like digital cameras, talking tins and programmable toys.
Enrichment of the curriculum is incredibly important to us in Primary School. We constantly seek opportunities for learning beyond the classroom and understand that learning is far more than just what takes place in a classroom. Examples of our enrichment experiences include outdoor learning in our outdoor pagoda, day trips to enhance learning, celebrations of Thai culture and heritage such as Loy Krathong, working with charities, residential overnight experiences, participation in Bangkok and Asia-wide competitions and experiences with other schools, using our outdoor Primary garden, and so much more.
Our approach in Primary is to ensure we develop our students academically, socially and personally. The well-being and pastoral care of our students is of utmost importance to us and we take opportunities in the classroom, in assemblies, in enrichment and ECAs to educate and support the well-being of our students.
Parents are key partners in the learning journey of their child, and we embrace opportunities to work with parents, share with parents and include parents in learning and school.
We are exceptionally proud of our Primary school and all of our students and community. There is a buzz of activity and happy children and staff throughout. Why not come to visit us? We would love to welcome you!
