Bromsgrove was at its best on Tuesday 10 December, as the wholes school, Early Years, Primary and Secondary students, took part in the Bromsgrove Fun Run 2013, along with parents and teachers.

The event raised a total of 100,000B for Ban Dek Ramintra School which was presented to the school by Deputy Headmaster, Mr Swan, with the Head Boy and Head Girl in January.

The PTA did a wonderful job in providing drinks and snacks for the runners after the event, and
the students came out with flying colours as their determination, spirit and indeed fitness, proved crucial in completing the run.

The Early years run was 700m, the Primary run covered a distance of 2km and secondary students ran 5 km. This is a challenge for most people and it was great to see the students? energy and team work, helping each other to complete the race in hot conditions.

Our IT Support Technician, Banjob Suwan, will return from Sydney with the Men?s Consolation Winner?s medal from the Wheelchair Tennis International Competition that immediately preceded the Australian Open Tennis Tournament.?A fantastic achievement!

Year 13 Bromsgrovian, Korntawat Julamool (Bright), was awarded the National Outstanding Youth Award for Sport at the Children?s Day ceremony held at the Royal Thai Navy Hall in Amarin Road on 8 January.

Bright received his award from the Minister of Education, Khun Jaturon Chaiseng.

This is another outstanding achievement for one of our top international golfers, and another proud moment for Bromsgrove!

Please note that due to a temporary health issue, the Early Years Sports Day and tour of the Primary School scheduled for Friday 17 January, has been postponed until Friday 24 January at Windsor Park Campus.

Please note that due to the developing situation in the centre of Bangkok, the planned Chinese department trip to Chinatown planned for Monday 13th has been postponed.

?The developing situation in Bangkok city centre is a real cause for concern.

The location of BIST shields us from the troubles and, as such, the school will remain open.

The situation will be closely monitored and the website will be updated to take account of any changes.

Parents who decide to keep children at home will clearly have the support and understanding of the school. Can I ask you to inform the school if this is your intention??

HEADMASTER
