On 4th October in celebration of Korean Thanksgiving Day (Chuseok) and The Korean Alphabet Day (Hangeul Day), Korean students at Bromsgrove International School Thailand organised an exciting event to promote Korean culture. Three different Korean traditional games (Tuho, Jegichagi, and Yut Nori) and a Korean calligraphy competition were prepared for the event. Students had an amazing time and a chance to learn about Korean culture through fun games and an opportunity to write their name with the beautiful Korean alphabet.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival Bromsgrove! It is the time of year when Chinese families get together to enjoy the full moon and the seasonal food of “Mooncakes”. Yesterday the students who study Chinese Language in the Secondary school were lucky to be able to visit Mangkol Kamalawat and China Town on a trip organised by the Chinese Department. All the students had a wonderful time soaking up the traditionally Chinese atmosphere and learning about the history of the areas visited.
On Sunday 1 October, our Sixth Form students visited a charity called Paper Ranger and spent time making notebooks by hand for children who do not have access to such resources. The project combined the idea of environmental conservation and promotion of the importance of volunteer work. Since the project was established in 2007, approximately 200,000 notebooks have been created and sent to people in need to use. There was lots of excitement during our U11 basketball fixtures this term. We are looking forward to our next home fixture on 19th October 2017. We hope to see plenty of parents supporting. All children and parents of children who attend Basketball ECA will be invited to this match.

You are invited to an evening of world class entertainment and fine dining on Wednesday 15 November 2017 at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit to a unique gala dinner: Italian Tenor David Sotgiu, top Thai Pianist Nat Yontararak together with Soprano Barbara Zion and the Bromsgrove International School Choir will be performing songs by Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Bellini and Neapolitan Composers.
On Saturday 23rd September 2017, we were honoured to perform on the stage of Living in Bangkok 2017, which was held at Bumrumgrad Clinic Building, Bumrungrad Hospital. Bromsgrove International School Vocal Ensemble and Music Scholars, along with Ms Alice, Mr Flegg, Mr James, Mr Cha and Mr Meddows-Taylor, impressed the audience with their great performances. Well done BIST!
On 26th of September, representatives from Bromsgrove International School Thailand delivered 2,924 sandalwood flowers from the school volunteering project to the Social Development Centre Bangkok, as a tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The sandalwood flowers will be used in the royal cremation ceremony scheduled for 26th October.

In celebration of Bromsgrove International School Thailand’s 15th Years Anniversary, we have created a range of BIST mementos to commemorate this occasion. To raise awareness and promote road safety for our students and your children, we kindly invite all parents to collect a free “Child in Car” sticker for your car/van – a gift to parents of the Bromsgrove family. The stickers will be available for collection from Wednesday 27 of September at both campuses. Please collect them from the school office at both our Early Years and Windsor Park. Please note to ensure all families are able to collect a sticker there will be a maximum of 2 stickers per family.
