Boarding Team

Mrs Tweddell joined BIST from Bromsgrove School, UK in August 2019 where she worked as the Head of Boarding and Housemistress. She has many years of boarding experience which she is putting to good practice to continue to develop all aspects of our boarding provision. She is a teacher of Biology in the secondary school and supports all our boarders with their academic studies and physical and mental wellbeing.

Mrs Sullivan is the Housemistress in Tudor House. She works with the boarding team to look after all of the female boarders at Bromsgrove. Mrs Sullivan enjoys working in the boarding environment and strives to make it a “home from home” experience for the boarders, organising activities and events. She is a teacher of PE and science in the secondary school and is also a qualified divemaster.

Mr Valdes-Scott is the Housemaster of Windsor House leading the team in caring for the boys. He has many years experience as a Housemaster and was a boarder himself for eleven years. He understands the enormous privilege it is to develop the minds and characters of young people. He supports the academic and personal progress of the boys by offering clear boundaries, unlimited time and attention and the chance to learn from mistakes. Mr Valdes-Scott is an EAL teacher in school.
