As part of Beyond BIST Week, we were delighted to welcome academic staff from the fields of Biotechnology, Engineering, International Relations, and Arts and Sciences to speak with students in Years 10 and 12.

Throughout the day, students attended engaging sessions that explored a range of academic disciplines and provided valuable insights into university study. The speakers shared their expertise, introducing students to key themes, current developments, and areas of research within their respective fields. These sessions offered a glimpse into the academic content, learning experiences, and opportunities students may encounter in higher education.

The event also gave students the opportunity to learn more about university life and gain a deeper understanding of potential pathways aligned with their interests and aspirations.

The day concluded with an excellent portfolio workshop, where students received practical advice on developing a strong and effective portfolio. The session focused on how to present achievements, experiences, and personal strengths in a way that stands out and supports future university applications.

Together, these sessions formed an important part of Beyond BIST Week, helping students broaden their horizons and prepare for the next stage of their educational journey.
