Scholarships

Bromsgrove International School Thailand is pleased to launch its scholarship programme for the academic year 2026/27. This year we have broadened our offering to ensure we are prioritising exceptional talent in a range of different areas. Applicants are invited from existing BIST students with a demonstrable record of outstanding talent and from students wishing to join the school for the first time. We will be awarding scholarships this year across three categories;

• BIST Academic scholarships
  These are available to students who can demonstrate a strong track record in outstanding academic achievement. For students who are seeking entry into our Sixth Form, this means predictions of a minimum of 7 A or A* IGCSE grades for students currently studying in a British International setting. Comparable levels of attainment are expected for students coming from other systems and all external applicants would need to demonstrate this through attainment in our scholarship entrance exams. Level programmes with remarkable exam results.
• BIST Creative Talent Scholarships
  These are available to students who can demonstrate outstanding creative talent, typically in music or another performing art. Creative talent applicants are invited to audition with us to showcase their talent and the scholarship panel will consider a range of outstanding talents. As a guide, music scholars would be expected to be at a minimum of ABRSM grade 5 or equivalent.
• BIST Sporting Talent Scholarships
  These are available to students who can demonstrate outstanding sporting talent with a strong track record of achievement at regional or national level.  Sporting talent applicants will be asked to demonstrate their sporting talent either by attending a sports trial at the school or by a member of our scholarship panel attending a participatory event.
  
  

Requirements and Support documents (to be submitted via Google Drive)

• Currently in Year 9 or equivalent with proven records of academic excellence for entering Year 10 in academic year 2026/27 (Academic Scholarships)
• A minimum of 7 A or A* grades at IGCSE for entry into the Sixth Form (Academic Scholarships)
• Minimum Grade 5 ABRSM or equivalent (Creative Talents or Music Scholarships)
• Certificates and/or a proven track record of sporting achievement at national or regional level (Sporting Talent Scholarships)
• Transcript, portfolio, and/or recorded performances demonstrating excellence in the applied area
• A letter of application written by the candidate
• A letter of support from a parent or guardian

*All shortlisted applicants are required to complete Admission Assessment, performance evaluation and a scholarship interview process.

Scholarship awards timeline
The deadline for applications for this academic year is Friday 20th February 2026. Applications will be considered during March 2026 with final awards made by the end of term two or Friday 3rd April 2026.
